From Web 2.0 to Web 3.0: The Semantic Web
In Web 2.0 it is for a computer rarely possible to obtain useful information from Web pages. In Web 3.0 there will be a positve change. Adding meaning (semantics) of data is done by onthologies (descriptions of concepts and their relationships) into metadata. Thus, relationships between concepts become evident.
Our current Web of documents will be extented with a web of data. An Internet information content which is named and classified in a similar way for computer processing. For this purpose the W3C has developed o.a. the RDF standard. On request is possible to build semantic apps.
